Malaria is a potentially fatal illness which is transmitted to human beings by infected mosquitoes.
Some areas of the Lowveld are affected by Malaria and both visitors and residents alike need to take precautions to prevent from contracting the
illness. These include using anti-malarial drugs and precautions aimed at preventing mosquito bites.
The disease is
easier to treat during the beginning stages and people who suspect that they have contracted Malaria should inform there doctors immediately.
